More course updates

We were working this week on calibration of our new 1750 sprayer. It is very important to calibrate properly to ensure that the correct amount of product is applied to the golf course. Fairways, greens and tees have been sprayed with wetting agent and fertiliser this week to ensure that the turf begins the season with good vigour and  consistency

Sand dressings are being carried out over both courses, greens were top dressed last week followed by fairways this week with over 300tons applied to Dunluce and Valley before play from turf is resumed this weekend.

This work will ensure improved firmness during the season.

Soil temperatures have risen over the last week and rootzone is now warm enough to allow germination of seed. New greens were seeded last week along with the new fairways and remaining dunluce greens will be seeded this week.

Our new range netting has been erected this week to prevent loss of balls when we change to improved range titliest balls next week.
